About Us

WHO WE ARE, OUR PRINTING PROCESS, AND OUR PLEDGE

Who we are

We are a small group of monkeys dedicated to delivering the freshest cold monkey fashion. While we create and cycle through our homemade designs of all monkeys, the majority are based off Japanese Macaques. If you haven't seen PBS Nature's episode of snow monkeys, you should definitely check it out; it's narrated by Liam Neeson. We love monkeys, and we especially love snow monkeys.

A huge part of our mission is to create products with sustainability in mind. We want to do right by our primate friends. At the bottom of this page is our pledge, detailing how we donate. Fortunately, snow monkeys are considered "least concerned" as their conservation status. They really do just be chillin in their hot springs. Unfortunately, not all monkeys have that luxury. We donate to help support all primates!

As well, scroll down to our printing process to find out more about how we impact the environment. (spoiler: essentially zero carbon footprint)

Be sure to check out our designs for yourself. We're sure you will like what we have to offer! We make sure to only sell the products that we would wear ourselves! :)

Our Printing Process

Most of our products are printed with DTG printing process. Ink is sprayed onto the garment, soaking into the fabric and making the print less prone to fading. Majority of the printers we use are Kornit printers, as shown in the video. All of the inks used are high quality, water-based vegan inks. As well, the inks are non-hazardous, toxin-free, biodegradable, and certified with an OEKO-TEX Eco Passport.

The Kornit printers produce zero waste water. This is huge for our environmental impact as traditional textile production pollutes 20% of earth's precious water sources. This is a lot of water. With our printing process, you can be assured we are NOT attributing to this pollution.

Powering our process with captured green energy, our carbon footprint is so low, it's essentially zero. 10% of all the toxic carbon saturating the earth comes from the fashion industry alone. We are proud to NOT contribute to such a statistic. The digital printing used requires minimal energy. As well, our printers are instant production: losing zero energy priming the machines.

A large part of sustainability is sourcing products that last. All of the clothes we use for our designs are durability, wash, and wear tested to make sure they’ll stand the test of time. You won't have to worry about replacing your product any time soon! We only source clothes with good quality for a comfortable wear.

Our Pledge

A portion of our profits go towards organizations such as Wild Futures and WWF. Wild Futures is a UK based charity focusing on the welfare and conservation of primates. Their efforts and overall mission really resonates with us. They don't just help to preserve the habitat our primate friends live in, they also work hard to rescue monkeys held as pets. Monkeys, cold or not, are inherently wild animals and belong in the wild. The idea of monkeys sitting in a cage, denied basic rights, sickens us. Rescued monkeys display behaviors such as pacing, rocking, self-harming, overeating, and more. They should be in their natural environment, enjoying their life.

Wild Futures works so hard to fight for these monkeys, especially since it is legal in many places to own a pet monkey. Fighting to protect and care for monkeys, whilst fighting against the pet trade can be an uphill battle. For this reason, we feel we need to help. Check out some monkeys!
